Đonlagić and Smajić for NAP: Stevandić communicates as he is used to at tent parties, judiciary should examine constitutionality of RS Government

(Patria) - Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NSRS) Nenad Stevandić informed delegates of the Bosniak Caucus in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of BiH today that he will not provide them with the act appointing the mandate holder for the current convocation of the RS Government, whose appointment is being contested before the Constitutional Court of BiH.

Let us remind you, the Constitutional Court of BiH asked the delegates contesting the appointment of the RS Government - Šefik Džaferović, Safet Softić, Dženan Đonlagić, and Džemal Smajić - for proof that Milorad Dodik, who was no longer the President of RS at that time, had proposed Savo Minić as the mandate holder.

In his response, Stevandić stated, among other things, that he does not wish to provide the document to the delegates because "the House of Peoples of the PA of BiH is not superior to the National Assembly of RS".

"Šefik, Safet, Džemal, and Dženan are not naive because they know they are not superior to anyone in Republika Srpska, not even its Assembly.

I don't know if they imagine they are powerful, are proving hatred, are acting as riders of the apocalypse, or are simply ignorant - let them choose. But they deserve an adequate, gentlemanly, and instructive response," Stevandić wrote on platform X.

We asked precisely the last two mentioned - Dženan Đonlagić (DF) and Džemal Smajić (SBiH), delegates in the House of Peoples of the PA of BiH, for a comment on Stevandić's move and his post on X.

- It is cynical and cowardly to say that the House of Peoples of the Parliament of BiH cannot address the entity assembly.

We addressed the National Assembly of RS as delegates, initiators of the request for constitutional review before the Constitutional Court of BiH, not as the House of Peoples.

I also expect and appeal to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH to examine the legality and constitutionality of the proposal for the mandate holder of the RS Government - Đonlagić stated for Patria.

Smajić, on the other hand, says he would not comment on statements that are at the level of communication we see at tent parties.

- However, what I want to say is that we have received what we asked for from the person in question and that we did not expect anything else.

There is no need for further communication, as the Constitutional Court will continue it as needed - Smajić added.
