Recently, due to a lack of quorum, the session of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina was interrupted, as two SNSD delegates (Nebojša Radmanović and Sredoje Nović) and one DNS delegate, SNSD’s coalition partner (Dragutin Rodić), did not attend the session. A new session has now been scheduled for March 30, writes the Patria news agency.
We remind you that the blockade of the House of Peoples occurred because SNSD objects to Sadik Ahmetović, who was elected to the Joint Commission for Oversight of the OSA’s Work, as they wanted to install their own member in this position.
Incidentally, the scheduled session’s agenda does not include the election of members of the Joint Commission for Oversight of the Work of the Intelligence-Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was on the agenda of the previous session when SNSD members did not even show up.
Thus, on March 30, only the election of members of joint commissions of both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the House of Peoples will take place: the Joint Commission for Defense and Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Joint Commission for Economic Reforms and Development, the Joint Commission for European Integration, the Joint Commission for Administrative Affairs, and the Joint Commission for Human Rights.
Incidentally, SNSD wanted to appoint Nikola Špirić to the Joint Commission for Oversight of the OSA’s Work, but this would be a conflict of interest, as his son works in this institution.
