House of Peoples Approves FBiH Borrowing for Healthcare Sector

(Patria) - The Federal House of Peoples approved at today's session the Decision on accepting the borrowing under the Loan Agreement between BiH and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) for the Second Development Policy Loan Program for the development of health sectors in BiH.

The total amount of this loan for BiH is 71 million euros, of which 42.6 million is allocated to the Federation of BiH.

The repayment period is 18 years, including a five-year grace period.

As explained in the text of the Decision, the loan funds will be used for reforms aimed at the long-term financial sustainability of the healthcare system in BiH and improving the quality of healthcare services and health outcomes.
