ŽELJKO KOMŠIĆ ALSO COMING Ključ to mark 30th anniversary of liberation tomorrow

(Patria) - Exactly 30 years ago, in September 1995, brave fighters of the Army of RBiH, especially units of the Fifth and Seventh Corps, liberated the municipality of Ključ after heavy fighting on the Lanište, Velagići, and Pudin Han routes.

Enemy forces were forced to withdraw, and the liberation of Ključ created prerequisites for the liberation of other parts of the Una-Sana Canton. The liberation of the city represents a key moment in the defense and return of territory under the control of the legal authorities of BiH.

Tomorrow, September 15, the municipality of Ključ will mark the 30th anniversary of Liberation Day with a ceremonial program. The commemoration begins at 5:00 PM with a ceremonial session of the Municipal Council at the hotel “Ključ”. At 7:00 PM, flowers will be laid at “Alija Izetbegović” Square – the Central Memorial, while the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Željko Komšić, will address the citizens at 7:30 PM on the plateau in front of the Culture Hall.

With this program, Ključ reminds of the bravery of its defenders and the significance of the city's liberation for the entire Una-Sana Canton.
