Arrival of some players still uncertain; Dragons to gather in Zenica tomorrow

(Patria) - The gathering of the BiH national football team, ahead of matches with Italy and Poland in the Nations League, is scheduled for tomorrow in Zenica.

The entire professional staff, players, and the administration serving the national team will be tested before arriving at the Training Camp, and also before departing for Italy, as stipulated by the UEFA Covid protocol.

Unfortunately, coach Dušan Bajević is already facing numerous withdrawals. Besim Šerbečić and Rade Krunić have been ruled out due to injuries, and Miralem Pjanić because he is infected with the coronavirus. In their place, Amir Hadžiahmetović, Luka Menalo, and Adnan Kovačević have been called up.

However, that is not all regarding withdrawals, as yesterday the Football Association of BiH announced that Servette did not allow Miroslav Bajević to respond to coach Bajević's call-up because upon returning to Switzerland, he would have to spend 14 days in isolation. According to the new UEFA protocol, the club has the right to do so, writes scsport.

Unofficially, the arrival of two players playing in the Croatian league, Stjepan Lončar (Rijeka) and Darko Todorović (Hajduk), is not expected tomorrow for the same reason as in Stevanović's case. For now, it has not been announced that Amer Gojak, who also plays in the HNL as a member of Dinamo, might have a similar problem.

Against Italy, let us recall, our team plays on September 4th in Florence, and three days later at Bilino Polje they will host the national team of Poland.
