Doctor Stevanović's further engagement at the General Hospital terminated due to public appearances and criticism

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – Doctor Dragan Stevanović's further engagement at the General Hospital „Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakaš“ was terminated today by director Zlatko Kravić, during the health crisis with the coronavirus, confirmed for the Patria News Agency from multiple sources. 

Although Doctor Stevanović was the first to respond to director Kravić's call and put on the white coat again after retirement, the public criticism he expressed in recent days and this morning on BHT regarding the situation with the healthcare system and the initiated dismissals were the reason for the termination of his further engagement. 

For more information, we called Doctor Stevanović, who did not wish to comment on director Kravić's decision nor what led to such a decision. 

Incidentally, tomorrow the SDP BiH will hold a press conference at which there will likely be more discussion about this case. 

In recent days, Dr. Stevanović publicly made himself available to the competent institutions to help overcome the coronavirus crisis with his knowledge, but also criticized the dysfunctionality of the system, which should primarily serve the citizens of Sarajevo Canton.
