Djokovic wins Australian Open again

(Patria) - Novak Djokovic is the undisputed ruler of Melbourne! The Serbian tennis player has won his third consecutive title at the Australian Open, his ninth in his career! The world's best player defeated Russian Daniil Medvedev 7:5, 6:2, 6:2 in the grand final.

Djokovic won his 18th title in his 28th Grand Slam final. He is now only two behind Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, who hold the record with 20.

This was the Serbian's ninth final in Melbourne and his ninth title. He achieved his 21st consecutive victory at the Australian Open, having also won the trophy in the previous two years.

Medvedev played in his second Grand Slam final and was defeated for the second time. This was the Russian's first loss after 20 consecutive wins.

Djokovic now leads Medvedev 5:3 in their head-to-head encounters.
