Djokovic wins against Australian Government in court, three-year entry ban still possible

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Djokovic's representatives filed an appeal against the Government's decision, argued it effectively, and confirmed that Novak had complete documentation for a medical exemption, which is why Judge Anthony Kelly ruled in his favor.

The fight of the world's number 1 with the Australian authorities is not over yet, but a big step has been taken towards participating in the upcoming Australian Open.

Judge Anthony Kelly made the decision because there were no grounds to revoke Djokovic's visa and request his deportation.

A deadline of 30 minutes was given for Novak to be released from detention at the migrant hotel and for all his belongings to be returned.

Djokovic's fight with the Australian authorities is not over yet because there is a possibility that the Minister for Immigration, Alex Hawke, will use his personal position to revoke Novak's visa. The prosecution stated that the minister will consider this move, and if it happens, the Serbian tennis player would be banned from entering Australia for three years.
