While Sarajevo residents face water shortages, a malfunction at Vojničko Polje remains unrepaired for 10 days

Water supply in the city during daytime hours continues to be difficult, announced the company Vodovod i kanalizacija, reports the news agency Patria.

In certain parts of the city, i.e. in the neighborhoods Podhrastovi, Sedrenik, Grdonj, Panjina kula, Breka, there will be disruptions in water supply between 11:00 and 15:00. This means that at some locations, certain floors of buildings and specific elevated parts of the mentioned neighborhoods will experience interruptions in water supply during the stated period.

In the rest of Sarajevo Canton, water supply during daytime hours is regular, and if there are no unforeseen situations such as source turbidity or possible pump unit failures, we expect it to remain regular. This primarily refers to the Peračko vrelo spring, which supplies the municipality of Vogošća and part of the Kobilja glava reservoir zone.

All sources and underground accumulations continue to decline steadily, and no improvement is expected without more abundant rainfall.

However, citizens are outraged because in some neighborhoods, clean water has been flowing away due to malfunctions for days. Thus, in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Vojničko Polje, drinking water has been going to waste for 10 days, while the Water and Sewage Company persistently warns about saving water and threatens shortages.
