Cooperation agreed on organising a roundtable to improve legal solutions in healthcare

(Patria) - Today, a working meeting was held at the premises of the Ministry of Health of the Zenica-Doboj Canton with representatives of the Zenica Employers' Association. The aim of the meeting was to prepare a roundtable on amendments to the Health Insurance Law of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Health Dr. Aida Salčinović, Acting Director of the Health Insurance Institute of ZDC Ahmed Kasap, President of the Zenica Employers' Association Senaida Turkić, and Secretary of the Association Adela Mehinagić.

The Zenica Employers' Association has initiated activities to organise a roundtable within the project "Together for Healthcare – Dialogue for Improving Legal Solutions." The roundtable will focus on amendments to the Health Insurance Law of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which are currently being prepared. In this context, the Association proposed holding a joint meeting with the Ministry of Health and the Health Insurance Institute to harmonise technical details.

The Ministry of Health of ZDC supports the Association's initiative and considers the organisation of the roundtable an important step towards improving legal solutions and strengthening the healthcare system.

– We are ready to participate in the joint preparation of the event and provide full support – said Minister Dr. Aida Salčinović.

- The Health Insurance Institute of ZDC is also at the disposal of the Zenica Employers' Association. Our common goal is to adopt quality regulations that will improve the healthcare system and ensure better conditions for insured persons and employers – emphasised Acting Director of the Health Insurance Institute of ZDC Ahmed Kasap.

The Ministry of Health of ZDC and the Zenica Employers' Association expressed readiness to continue cooperation and work together on projects of importance for citizens and the economy.
