Dodik's 'disassociation' evaporated, much milder proposal to go to RS National Assembly

(Patria) - Following the 10th regular session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, which will be held tomorrow, the 14th special session will be held with one item on the agenda - Information on the need to initiate the procedure for regulating the relations between RS and the Federation of BiH in accordance with the Dayton Agreement and international acts.

The Collegium of the National Assembly of RS held a meeting today where this decision on the special session was made, at the proposal of the National Assembly representatives.

Also, the proposed agenda for the Tenth regular session was supplemented at the request of the Government of RS with three items: Bill on Amendments to the Law on Banks of RS – urgent procedure, Bill on Amendments to the Law on the Investment Development Bank of RS – urgent procedure, and Bill on Amendments to the Law on Internal Payment Transactions – urgent procedure. A consolidated debate will be held on these three items. These are laws that were adopted today.

“The Collegium accepted the proposal of the President of the National Assembly, Nenad Stevandić, that the Ceremonial Session of the National Assembly of RS, with one item on the proposed agenda: Address by the President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, begin on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, and that the Tenth regular session continue after its conclusion,” the statement said.

On Tuesday, July 2, at 10 AM, before the start of the Tenth regular session, the First, constitutive session of the Parliamentary Forum Serbia – RS will be held at the premises of the National Assembly of RS. The Parliamentary Forum session will continue on July 3.

President Stevandić and then-President of the Serbian Assembly, Vladimir Orlić, signed a Memorandum on the formation of the Parliamentary Forum Serbia – entity RS in Belgrade on September 20, 2023.
