Dodik wants to reward war criminals for the persecution and ethnic cleansing of Bosniaks

The proposed law on the rights of elected representatives of the RS from the period 1991-1996, according to which all deputies of the first convocation of the NSRS will receive compensation of 1,200 KM, and which Milorad Dodik sent to the NSRS, is not only a matter of settling scores with the opposition SDS, but also sends a clear message to surviving Bosniaks who have returned to this entity that there is no place for them here as an equal people, state representatives from the Coalition Prvi mart Bratunac, as reported by the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- So, Radovan Karadžić, Biljana Plavšić and Momčilo Krajišnik will be rewarded for life, along with their families, from the budget of this entity, whose taxpayers also include Bosniaks who were subjected to persecution and ethnic cleansing by the aforementioned individuals. It is as sad as it gets. Given the fact of what returnees have gone through in the past year and what has been denied to them by the political masterminds of this entity, such a step does not surprise me - says Edin Ikanović, coordinator of the Coalition for Bratunac.

- What surprises me and I cannot get over is the policy of Bosniaks, which has no response to all the events in the smaller part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I believe that political representatives must stop issuing statements of condemnation; instead, we should follow examples of concrete actions, initiating concrete initiatives to solve such problems, not empty condemnations that have no substance. If we intend to preserve the state and our dignity, it is high time we as a people woke up and stopped thinking about ministries, supervisory and management boards - concluded Ikanović.
