Dodik ahead of verdict assures: RS will live its peaceful life until Wednesday and from Wednesday

(Patria) - RS President Milorad Dodik stated that preserving and strengthening the BiH Constitution gives BiH a chance to live.

Dodik stated that RS will live its peaceful life until Wednesday, February 26, the date set for the verdict to be announced at the BiH Court, and from Wednesday onwards, while political processes will unfold within institutions and through public discourse.

He stated that the only item on the agenda at the RS National Assembly session next week will be to preserve and strengthen the BiH Constitution as a carefully balanced and structured document that gives BiH a chance to live.

Dodik emphasized that any verdict against him is problematic "from the perspective that a foreigner imposed the decision, that it is about a person who was not legally elected," adding that no one can change laws by decisions and that the only legislative body in BiH is the Parliamentary Assembly.

He pointed out that they are judging him "for a criminal offense that does not exist in the law and that it is clear that a political process is being conducted against him".

- To claim that you can change the laws of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly with the decisions of an individual is more of a blow to BiH than to Milorad Dodik - Dodik told TV Blic.

He noted that nowhere in the world does a foreigner change a law with their decision, adding that not even parliament can do that without going through a certain procedure.

- The essence is that Schmidt made a decision that his decision will be an integral part of the legislation, which the Muslims accepted. That's why three Muslim judges are judging me, the prosecutor is Muslim, because they accept it, the submissive mentality speaks of this - says Dodik.

He also emphasized that "Bosniaks want a unitary state" and that this process against him was initiated by US Ambassador Michael Murphy and others from the old US administration who are no longer in power.

Dodik noted "that RS is a party to the Dayton Agreement, along with the Federation of BiH, and that the two entities were left with the right to negotiate amendments to that agreement, and now they want to annul RS's right to be a party, because Bosniaks want a unitary BiH".
