Dodik: SNSD will not participate in elections, I will continue to perform my duties, let's see how you will bring a president

(Patria) - SNSD President Milorad Dodik assessed that the decision of the Central Election Commission of BiH on early elections for the president of Republika Srpska is "the last deception of political Sarajevo towards the Serb people", emphasizing that SNSD will not participate, and that other parties should do the same.

"SNSD will not register for the elections and will not participate. The elections are not the true aspiration or demand of Republika Srpska. No one is asking for elections, and this is imposed by political Sarajevo", Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka.

Dodik said that these elections make no sense.

"Just organize them and we'll see how you will bring a president here. I will continue to perform my duties as it has been until now. As the National Assembly of Republika Srpska has stated, I have no intention of withdrawing from all of this. Today is a better day for me. They want to elect a president in the Federation. Excellent! Be my guest!", Dodik said, reacting to claims that elections can be held at polling stations in FBiH if there is a boycott in RS.

The BiH CEC decided that early elections for the president of Republika Srpska will be held on November 23.

Dodik was stripped of his mandate as president of RS after a final court ruling prohibiting him from holding a publicly funded position for six years.
