Dodik: Republika Srpska will be independent before I go to jail

(Patria) - The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, for whom a court process began this week before the Court of BiH due to non-execution of the High Representative's decisions, a day after the US OFAC added his children Gorica and Igor Dodik to the sanctions list, stated that "Republika Srpska is moving forward and nothing will destroy it".

He added that Republika Srpska "will make difficult political decisions in the future".

"America is showing its hostility towards Republika Srpska. It is visible. The fact that they are now trying to reduce everything to Milorad Dodik and his family, these are old tricks of imperialists who think everything is like that. Of course, it is not like that," Dodik emphasized.

He said that if the Americans had any evidence that Milorad Dodik was involved in the crime they have been talking about here for years, "do you think I would be standing here in front of you?", Dodik asked.

Dodik emphasized that "that is why they invented Christian Schmidt, who says that if you do not respect what he invents here, then you have to go to jail".

"We will see how that will look. I think Republika Srpska will be independent sooner. These processes that are happening are accelerating it, and this is not the defense of Milorad Dodik, but the defense of Republika Srpska. I know what they want. They want to remove people of authority who want to embrace the Dayton Agreement and what Dayton has given us," Dodik stated.

He said that the transfer of any jurisdiction will no longer be allowed, and that "90 usurped jurisdictions will be returned".

"Five years ago, no one dared to say anything about a referendum, about the independence of Republika Srpska. That is a real alternative. For us, the future life and a real alternative is the independence of Republika Srpska," Dodik stated.
