Dodik continues with the abolition of the Bosnian language, children in Glogova near Bratunac targeted

Edin Ikanović, coordinator of activities of the "First March" coalition in Bratunac, warned that the denial of the name of the Bosnian language, orchestrated by the authorities embodied in the person and work of Milorad Dodik, continues to unfold in the educational system of the RS entity, and that there is no mechanism to resolve this problem, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

-The Constitution of the RS does not recognize the official names of the languages of the constituent peoples, and now a request has appeared for the school in Glogova near Bratunac to remove the official name from use. At the same time, in books and official documents, the language of the Serbian people is called "Serbian language", while Bosnian and Croatian remain deprived of this position", said Ikanović.

Ikanović pointed out that the accumulated problems, which manifest in various forms of discrimination, cannot be resolved on a case-by-case basis.

-We must advocate for a permanent solution in the form of a constitutional law, which will be based on the rights established by the Dayton Peace Agreement, and establish a Law on Prohibition of Discrimination and Protection of Civil Liberties of the Bosniak and Croat communities in the RS entity, which will define a set of rights, the method of sanctioning and procedure in case of non-implementation, and which will regulate the issue of employment quotas, guaranteed quotas in municipal assemblies, as well as regulate the right to education, culture, tradition, organization and budget positions for financing returnee associations, adequate memorialization of places of suffering, as a broad legal framework for permanent protection", concluded Ikanović.
