(Patria) - Sloga Meridian and Igman played the third of four BiH Cup round of 16 matches today at the "Dr. Milan Jelić" Stadium in Modriča.
Unlike today's clashes between Sloboda and Sarajevo, and Stupčanica and Široki Brijeg, Modriča, where Sloga plays its matches due to pitch reconstruction in Doboj, saw a much more modest football performance.
After Sloga's pressure in the opening part of the match, not much happened on the field, and the game was mostly played between the two penalty areas, writes SCsport.ba.
The second half saw identical play, with Sloga's players showing more initiative and better chances at times, but there were no goals.
The winner was ultimately decided by a penalty in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
The ball hit Čubrilo's hand, and Danijel Perić awarded the penalty. Vidić was clinical from the spot to make it 1-0 and spark great celebrations from Sloga's players.
Sloga is the second-to-last participant in the BiH Cup quarter-finals. Sarajevo and Široki Brijeg secured their passage today, as did Zrinjski, Jedinstvo, Posušje, and Velež earlier.
The last round of 16 match is scheduled for 18:30. Borac will host Zvijezda 09 at the City Stadium in Banja Luka.
