Igman Director from Konjic, Đahid Muratbegović, Admitted to Mostar Hospital

MOSTAR, (Patria) - Director of Konjic's Igman, Đahid Muratbegović, who tested positive for coronavirus a few days ago, was admitted to the University Clinical Hospital in Mostar last night. Prior to that, he was in home isolation.

As confirmed by the Head of the Infectious Diseases Department at UCH Mostar, Jurica Arapović, Muratbegović is in isolation with a moderate clinical picture, with no indications for a respirator.

"His condition is relatively good compared to others, and I hope it stays that way," Arapović said.

He stated that there are 24 coronavirus patients in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, 17 from the Konjic area and 7 from Mostar.

Most coronavirus patients are in home isolation, while patients with a severe clinical picture are admitted to the hospital.

"Currently, two people are on respirators at the Mostar hospital: the first infected patient and an elderly woman from Široki Brijeg. Some are also recovering," Arapović announced.

The average age of patients is 57, with the youngest being 37 and the oldest 70.

Police in HNC have announced stricter traffic measures, and the HNC Crisis Staff, in order to suppress and slow the spread of coronavirus, stated that the possibility of isolating the canton is not excluded.
