Latest news: Senad Mujagić has resigned from the position of Director of KJKP Gras Sarajevo, following the demands of young people protesting in Sarajevo for the fifth day.
In his address to the public, Mujagić stated that he received information from the authorities that he is not allowed to make any statements. "When the Union issued a statement, I received an objection that we are not allowed to do that, but the Union is independent. I am under investigation and I am not allowed to make statements," Mujagić said.
Regarding why he tried to enter the police premises when the arrested driver Adnan Kasapović was there, Mujagić says that the drivers asked him to go and support him, as it would mean a lot to him, but adds that he was not allowed to do so.
"The day after the accident, at a meeting with the Union, I said that I was leaving. Today, GRAS was supposed to have its electricity cut off, I asked EP BiH not to do it. It owes a million KM. I am a debtor, I am blocked every day. When people from the World Bank came a few days ago to solve the problem. When I told them that it was about distributing salaries and that four workers were on duty to distribute salaries on time. When I arrived, GRAS was empty, and today it is full, I am a child of GRAS," Mujagić emphasized.

(Patria) - Protests have been ongoing in Sarajevo for the fourth consecutive day following a tram accident in which Erdoan Morankić (23) died, while seventeen-year-old Ella Jovanović sustained severe injuries. And while institutions offer statements and announce investigations, young people say – they will not accept silence.
The gathering again began in front of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from where students and high school students proceeded on a protest march.
The banners spoke clearer than any speeches: "The tram didn't kill, negligence did", "We want accountability, not silence", "Silence is complicity".
After Nihad Uk resigned and the Government of Sarajevo Canton fell, the demands did not stop. Young people are now also demanding accountability from GRAS management, pointing out that director Senad Mujagić has not made any public statements since the tragedy. They doubt that Uk's resignation can bring any improvement.
The information that some school administrations banned students from protesting caused particular outrage. However, the message from the streets is clear: a generation that grew up with constant scandals, excuses, and blame-shifting no longer accepts formal condolences and short-term media attention.
These protests are not just a cry for justice in one case. Young people are also reminding of other tragedies across the country, including the one in Jablanica, stating that they are seeking a system that protects lives, not positions.
"We are fighting for the minimum – safety," they say. And they send a clear message – young people will not be fooled.
