Dino Merlin: Fly, white bird, to the vineyards of paradise

(Patria) - At the commemoration of legendary Bosnian singer Halid Bešlić, Dino Merlin also addressed those present, recalling the last moments spent with his friend and colleague:

„I told him Sidran's and Gljiva's jokes, we laughed so we wouldn't cry – to cheat the pain, to cheat death. I brought him chocolate – ‘Merci, merci, Halide, thank you, Halide.’ I caressed his hair, his hand and his feet. Clean white socks, Halid's socks – what minimalism. Something so simple, so special, something as necessary as flour, as paper, as salt.
Something so warm as our Halid.“

Merlin ended emotionally:
