Dino Đurbuzović new coach of Olimpik

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - FK Olimpik has officially appointed Dino Đurbuzović as the new coach.

The sports director of Vukovi, Emir Hadžić, explained the reasons for the termination of cooperation with Mirza Varešanović and the appointment of Đurbuzović.

- Yesterday, we parted ways with Mirza Varešanović amicably, as he was tired of the First League of FBiH. Everything was done in a gentlemanly manner, and I thank him on this occasion. We played poorly in the Cup match, but we still have chances to advance, which is why we hurried to select a new head of the professional staff. The engagement of Đurbuzović is certainly a positive shock therapy; he is a coach who can bring something new and positive to the team. He will have enough time to analyze the team, and we will enter the second half of the season as prepared as possible - said Hadžić.

Đurbuzović did not hide his satisfaction at being chosen as the new coach of the Sarajevo first league team.

- The director said that discussions were held, that we reached the final stage of talks, and I accepted this role because I see that the club has great ambitions, which was evident during the talks with the members of the Management Board. This will be a challenge for me, but the desire of all of us is to continue on the path to return Olimpik to the Premier League and to play the Cup match as well as possible. We will see what the result will be - said Đurbuzović after his presentation.

- Today we had an 'introduction' training session. I know many players, and I think the playing staff has potential. We will try to motivate them to meet the demands and achieve our goal, which is to return to the Premier League.

The professional staff has not yet been completed; this will happen in the coming days.
