(Patria) - Principals of secondary schools in the Canton of Sarajevo have received a warning from the Ministry of Education and Science of KS to prohibit students from attending protests that have been ongoing for days in Sarajevo following a traffic accident in which student Erdoan Morankić died and a secondary school student was seriously injured.
This was confirmed to Faktor by Admir Šuvalić, president of the Trade Union of Secondary Education of KS.
- All schools have received these letters, and then these messages were delivered to parents through class teachers to warn them not to let their children attend protests, as incidents will allegedly occur.
We, as a trade union, cannot do anything about this issue, because the children are mostly minors and we do not know what these warnings mean.
There were some rumors that the children were threatened in some way that they would be expelled from school if they attended the protests, but for now, these are just speculations.
As far as I know, secondary education is compulsory and children cannot be expelled, they can only be transferred to other schools, but there are procedures for that too - said Šuvalić.
It is obvious that the minister of the caretaker government, Naida Hota-Muminović, does not renounce her right to attempt a dictatorship, so she wants in every way to take away children's right to protest due to a situation in which any of these children could have been victims of a bad system.
Naida Hota-Muminović's behavior warrants criminal charges.
