Digital Transformation of Public Administration: Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton Launches e-Government Project

(Patria) - The Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton has started adopting spending programs by ministries, with most programs of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports being adopted. Several reports on spending for the previous year were also adopted.

- After we timely adopted the budget and financial plans, we are timely starting to adopt spending programs to make budget funds available to end users on time.

It is important that ministries submit reports on spending and spending programs for this year on time, thereby creating prerequisites for a series of programs and projects we plan to implement this year - said Prime Minister Nezir Pivić after the session.

By adopting the information submitted by Minister of Justice and Administration Nebojša Nikolić, the Government made the first step towards digital transformation of public administration in Zenica-Doboj Canton.

- In addition to digitalization of healthcare and introduction of electronic health records, we are entering the e-Government project, which will make it easier for citizens to use everyday services by avoiding traditional queues and speeding up procedures for issuing various certificates and other needs of citizens. The next steps will be concretized and we will have visible results in this area - said Prime Minister Pivić.

The Government appointed an acting director of Television of Zenica-Doboj Canton, tasked with carrying out necessary preparations for the concrete implementation of the project and launching the cantonal television.
