Dia BiH wins European Championship for the third time

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The national futsal team of people with diabetes “Dia BiH” won first place at the European Futsal Championship in Ukraine. Dia BiH was defending the European champion title and succeeded for the third time. On this occasion, the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Senaid Memić, hosted a reception for the national team members. 

“Congratulations on your success. It must have been difficult to achieve such a result in a strong competition and in the conditions under which you defended the colours of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We are aware that the assistance we provided you for attending the championship was not significant, but you have confirmed that with strong will, courage, and heart, it is possible to achieve great results without large financial resources. Sometimes expectations are greater than possibilities, but you have proven that it is sometimes possible to exceed expectations,” said Mayor Memić.

Prim. dr. Midhat Mujkić, president of the Dia BiH Ilidža club, expressed gratitude to the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, emphasizing that this is not only a sports project but also a humanitarian one, as they have proven that people with diabetes can also become European champions. Mayor Memić was presented with a certificate of appreciation for his support and financial assistance in their work.
