(Patria) - The Democratic Front (DF) tonight, in a packed hall of the Cultural Center (BKC) in Tuzla, continued its series of spring forums titled "Integrity of the Civic State Policy", and officials and the DF candidate for the BiH Presidency member in the upcoming elections, Slaven Kovačević, addressed the attendees.
The President of DF and member of the BiH Presidency, Željko Komšić, stated that a difficult struggle awaits DF with anti-state elements to return state institutions to the hands of representatives of those policies that love Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Komšić says the time has come for DF, for people with the guts to say "no" to oppressors, and to "tell those with whom we share power that we will not give up the fight for Bosnia and Herzegovina under any circumstances".
He emphasized that when the war began, there were no friends to fight for us; instead, the fight for the state was carried out mainly by the poor of Bosnia, who bore the burden of the struggle for the state on their shoulders, which is political today.
He stated that today we should give young people a chance to take responsibility for the country tomorrow, and that we should help them with our experience, knowledge, and work.
DF's candidate for the BiH Presidency member, Slaven Kovačević, said he accepted the candidacy to be a continuation of the civic state policy whose idea Željko Komšić advocates.
He believes that with the arrival of a new High Representative, the discussion about constitutional reforms will begin, and that the state will be in a better position if the BiH Presidency has a 2:1 majority for the state.
He points out that the blockades by HDZ and SNSD in the House of Peoples have shown that the ethnic system does not work, and that the Trojka supported this with their subservient behavior in order to remain in their positions.
He notes that everyone wants to join the EU and NATO, and this is only possible when BiH becomes a society of equal opportunities, which can only be achieved by a state that is civically organized.
"15% of voters cannot have 50% of the power in the Federation of BiH," Kovačević underlined.
The President of the DF KO TK, Zlatan Begić, said that the 2:1 ratio against Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is currently present in the BiH Presidency, has shown its full destructiveness for the state.
He believes that today it is most evident how important the institution of the BiH Presidency is, because the formation of government begins from this institution.
The BiH Presidency, Begić added, has the choice to entrust the mandate for forming the government to the guardians of the state or to Greater-state projects that are against our country.
DF Presidency member Miro Lazović said that without a civic BiH, we will not reach the position of a society of equal people.
Lazović underlined that Bosniaks can hardly survive without a civic Bosnia and Herzegovina in which everyone will have equal rights and build their future on common values.
The President of the GO DF Tuzla, Mahir Mešalić, said that the imposed Government of the FBiH led by Nermin Nikšić behaves kleptomaniacally and arrogantly.
He stated that instead of order and system, we have chaos and improvisation, that the Trojka and HDZ are calculating, and the citizens are paying the price - there is not even a meter of highway from Tuzla to Sarajevo, and we pay taxes to pave roads where HDZ exclusively rules.
"On the contrary, in the Tuzla Canton, we have shown how responsible governance behaves. Progress is visible in all areas, healthcare, sports, and rights for mothers," added Mešalić.
