DF against the state-level appropriation of cantons

The Democratic Front considers the coordination mechanism proposal that recently appeared in the media unacceptable. Namely, the offered working material contains provisions that are in direct conflict with the BiH Constitution, i.e., the original competencies of the state level of government, reports the Patria News Agency.

The possibility of cantons gaining veto power over decisions concerning BiH's relations with the European Union is particularly unacceptable. The state-level appropriation of cantons will make the EU integration process of our country impossible.

We consider the behavior of the FBiH Government irresponsible, as it adopted this proposal in secret without any explanation and without providing an opportunity for public debate on this topic.

The DF has presented very precise proposals to responsible persons in the Council of Ministers to make the coordination mechanism effective while fully respecting the original competencies of BiH.
