Democratic Front today definitively broke off negotiations with SDA on forming government at all levels. This is the decision of the DF Presidency, which held a telephone session, as the president Željko Komšić is out of the country, confirmed the general secretary of DF Sifet Podžić for the Patria News Agency.
Podžić explained that yesterday they told SDA representatives led by Denis Zvizdić that negotiations in Sarajevo Canton would be suspended until further notice, or until SDA annuls all employment tenders in Sarajevo Canton, but he forwarded the "wrong" conclusion to the acting Prime Minister of SC Muhamed Kozadra.
- We were waiting for the SC Government session to make a decision. When we received it and read it, we realized it was a deception, because that decision ordered the annulment of all tenders not issued by the government. That means almost none, because the SC Government, i.e., its ministries, issued those tenders. In addition, yesterday I was flooded with emails and SMS messages from people from other cantons reporting that the same recipe for employing party cadres and relatives by SDA is being implemented massively, as well as at the Federation and state level. Therefore, we decided at the highest party level to break off negotiations, Podžić states.
By the end of this or the beginning of next week, another high-level meeting will be organized. Party delegations led by Željko Komšić and Bakir Izetbegović will meet, and if there is no agreement on stopping employment, i.e., returning to the initial positions, then there will be nothing from the DF and SDA coalition.
