SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Through conclusions agreed at the Collegium and adopted at an Emergency Session on the topic of “The Complication of the Internal Security Situation”, and in connection with announcements about the formation of a reserve police force from the entity of Republika Srpska, clear directions of action have been defined, including, among other things, strengthening the cantonal and Federal Ministries of Interior in terms of filling the missing active police force according to adopted systematizations, as well as taking adequate measures to protect the safety of all citizens if activities on the adoption of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Police and Internal Affairs of the RS are not halted.
This was announced by the Democratic Front, following yesterday's emergency session of the Federal Parliament. From that party, they pointed out that of the three sessions of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, through which important issues for the safety of citizens in the Federation were discussed, three sessions were initiated by the representatives of the DF-GS Club.
“After a comprehensive presentation on the complication of the internal security situation, prepared and presented by the member of the DF-GS Club, Hajrudin Žilić, as well as the facts presented in the discussions and the announcements of the Federal Minister of Interior about the imminent submission to the parliamentary procedure of the Law on the Reserve Police Force, it is undeniably clear that it was very necessary, in light of the political moment in BiH, to speak about this important topic in the Parliament of the Federation and to let our citizens know that we have answers towards preserving security in all important aspects,” the DF stated.
From that party, they also emphasized that through the visit of the Democratic Front Club to the Una-Sana Canton and after touring migrant centers and talking with representatives of the legislative and executive authorities, the biggest problem that everyone points to was clearly defined, namely the constant and uncontrolled influx of migrants, the direct cause of which is the permeability of the border, i.e., the insufficient capacity of the Border Police of BiH. All of this, they point out from the DF, in itself imposes a conclusion through which the Council of Ministers and both houses of the state Parliament are called upon, in accordance with their competencies, to support the work of institutions at the state level dealing with migrant issues, the Border Police, the Service for Foreigners' Affairs, and the OSA in the context of filling missing human and material resources.
“Within the two-day session of the Parliament, a Resolution was also adopted in light of the judgments of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, which in its content contains the determinants of the Resolution of the European Parliament and through which the denial of the Holocaust, genocide, and other crimes is condemned, and the state Parliament is called upon to adopt a Law on the Prohibition and Punishment of Denial of Genocide and War Crimes, as well as the glorification of crimes and criminals. The DF-GS Club responded to the call of 12 victims' associations and, through cooperation, initiated the holding of an emergency session which ultimately resulted in the adoption of the Resolution, which certainly represents another step on the path of accepting the truth as a condition for continuing the reconciliation process after confirmed verdicts against war criminals and adjudicated crimes in BiH,” the DF's conclusion states, as reported by NAP.
