This year marks the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Sarajevo after World War II. Also, it marks 23 years since the aggression against the independent Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the longest siege of a city in the history of warfare began, it was announced by the Democratic Front, reports the Patria News Agency.
- Once again, through the joint efforts and sacrifices of its citizens, Sarajevo was defended. That is why this is the most important date in the history of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a date that has become a symbol of its struggle, resistance, strength, and survival, the DF statement reads.
