(Patria) - The sixth Desant Festival concluded last night in Jajce with a spectacular concert by regional music star Željko Joksimović. The two-day event once again fulfilled its goal – promoting the sights and tourist beauties of the royal city.
According to data from the Entrio platform, the concert below the magnificent Pliva Waterfall gathered visitors from as many as 12 countries and 67 cities, confirming that Desant has grown into an internationally recognized event.
This year's festival lasted for two days and offered rich content for all generations. It was officially opened by Nasiha Pozder, Minister of Environment and Tourism of the Federation of BiH, on the plateau next to the Jajce Catacombs.
“It is an honor for me to be here in such a magical place. I hope we will all create a memorable atmosphere and that Jajce will remain in the fond memory of everyone who is here tonight,” said Minister Pozder.
The welcome was also extended to the attendees by the Mayor of Jajce Municipality, Edin Hozan, and Anto Brtan, Director of the Agency for Cultural-Historical and Natural Heritage and Development of Tourism Potential of Jajce.
After the opening ceremony, performances of traditional music, sevdalinka, and folk songs followed, performed by “Mustra Orchestra”, Kenan Mačković, and Ajna Ganić.
Admission to the events was free for all visitors.
The next stop of the festival was the Club Bayamo location, where a concert and DJ party was organized with young music stars Amna, Albin, and DJ Foror, who delighted the younger audience.
On Saturday, Desant continued with entertainment at the newly opened beach on Lake Mali Plivsko, near the famous Mlinčići. Along with swimming, sunbathing, and a good atmosphere, visitors enjoyed performances by DJ Merakoon and Kenan from Sa. Thanks to the partnership with the Crvena jabuka supermarket chain, a free barbecue was also organized.
The highlight of Desant 2025 was the performance by Željko Joksimović on the stage under the Pliva Waterfall – one of the most attractive natural locations in the region. Joksimović's performance closed the festival in a spectacular manner, leaving the audience with strong impressions.
Let us remind you, the Desant Festival was launched in 2020 with the aim of enriching Jajce's summer offer and positioning it as an unmissable destination in the heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The city with as many as 30 national monuments and a unique blend of natural and historical heritage is ideal for such events that combine tourism, culture, and entertainment.
The festival organizers are the Desant consortium and the Public Institution Agency for Cultural-Historical and Natural Heritage and Development of Tourism Potential of the City of Jajce, with the support of the Municipality of Jajce, Mayor Edin Hozan, the Government of the Central Bosnia Canton, and the Ministry of Environment and Tourism of the FBiH.
Desant 2025 once again showed that Jajce has the capacity to host top cultural and entertainment events that gather visitors from all over the region and beyond, with a strong contribution to promoting Bosnia and Herzegovina as an attractive and dynamic tourist destination.
