Derby Željo-Sarajevo: A Match Decided by a Single Mistake

FK Željezničar hosts city rival FK Sarajevo at the Grbavica Stadium, and the head coaches of both teams, Miloš Kostić and Almir Hurtić, as well as captains Aleksandar Kosorić and Haris Duljević have shared their expectations for the match, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

– I can say it's good that the preparations are behind us because we, like the fans, can hardly wait for the matches. Our team is ready physically and mentally for the season. These are matches that are not usually characterized by beautiful football, but by a lot of running, aggression, and emotion. In such matches, usually one mistake decides, which is why it is very important to keep a clear head and maximum discipline throughout all 90 minutes. I hope a good result will not be lacking. We are playing in front of our Manijaci, and that is an additional motivation for us to show that we are ready. We want to start the league properly – said Miloš Kostić.

The coach of Sarajevo said that every match is a new challenge.

- We are entering the match full of enthusiasm, and we want to get revenge for the defeats. It is important to enter the match with a cool head. We have maximum concentration for tomorrow's match and we are not thinking about what happened before. We are all professionals and the players are used to fighting with pressure. So I don't see any problem from that side. The result will not be lacking if we fulfill everything agreed upon – said Hurtić.

The captains of both teams agree that the fans of both teams will enjoy it.

– On Saturday, the biggest treat of Bosnian-Herzegovinian football awaits us. We haven't all felt the competitive rhythm yet, but that shouldn't be a problem, we are ready for the match, we know what the boss expects from us. We are playing in front of our fans, and that is an additional motivation, if additional motivation is needed at all. We have won the last two derbies, and that will give us additional strength, and tomorrow we want to win – said Aleksandar Kosorić.

- Regarding the derby, this is something more than just a match. We will give our all, we have completed the preparations in the best possible way, and I regret that Kovačević and Mihojević will not play. It will be a tough match, but we have a lot of motivation and with a lot of effort, we should achieve a positive result, which would be important for the continuation of the league – emphasized Haris Duljević.

The match between Željezničar and Sarajevo will be played today starting at 8:30 PM at the Grbavica Stadium.
