Democratic Front: Čavara's acceptance of Minister Soldat's resignation is a show for the public

Yesterday's move by the President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Marinko Čavara, represents a mere show for the public. There is no dispute that the President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepted the irrevocable resignation of the Federal Minister of Environment and Tourism in the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Snježana Soldat, for the simple reason that the minister, along with other ministers, submitted an irrevocable resignation three months ago, but what is disputed is that he did not want to accept it in the past three months, the Democratic Front announced, as reported by the Patria news agency.

-What is most disputed is that the President of the Federation gives partial statements without argument, and we call on him, if he still stands by that position, to provide concrete evidence that the minister is violating the Constitution and laws of the FBiH. Therefore, we believe that the minister should not be accused in her public appearances for daily political purposes.

The President of the FBiH takes it upon himself, when considering the simultaneously submitted resignations of DF ministers in the FBiH Government, to arbitrarily interpret the powers of the President of the FBiH, and to decide on these irrevocable resignations separately over a period of three months.

In deciding on these resignations, the President of the FBiH, without argument, cites violations of the law and the Constitution of BiH as reasons for ministers for whom he assessed that they are acting contrary to the said regulations. It is contradictory that the President of the FBiH stated that he will consider the remaining irrevocable resignations only when the remaining two ministers in the Government, presumably according to his blanket assessment, violate the Constitution and laws of the FBiH, the DF statement said.
