Delegates of the FBiH House of Peoples have numerous objections to the veterans' law, but will still support it

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - During the debate on the Proposal of the Law on the Rights of Veterans and Members of Their Families, numerous criticisms were voiced against the said proposal.

It was stated that the relevant minister Salko Bukvarević said how much the law will cost the Federation, but that no one knows how much it will cost the cantons, cities and municipalities.

“This is a shameful law, we are dividing veterans, this law is not in accordance with procedures and the FBiH Constitution, it will affect financial stability, the law is unenforceable,” these are just some of the qualifications that delegates made about the law.

Igor Stojanović from the SDP said that so far 11 billion KM has been spent on addressing the veteran population, and there is still no registry.

Delegates from the ruling parties also believe that this law is unconstitutional and discriminatory, but that this is also the case with a large part of the state of BiH and the Federation.

Although the proposed law was assessed as bad by a large number of delegates, they all announced that they would give their support.
