Delegation of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton attended the celebration of Doboj Jug Municipality Day

(Patria) - A delegation of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK), led by Prime Minister Nezir Pivić, attended the ceremonial session of the Doboj Jug Municipal Council on the occasion of March 21 - Doboj Jug Municipality Day.

The delegation also included the Minister of Internal Affairs Emir Vračo, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Jasmin Čajić, the Minister of Economy Samir Šibonjić, and the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Mirza Mušija.

Doboj Jug Municipality Day is celebrated on March 21, and the date was established in memory of March 21, 1998, when the constitutive session of the Municipal Council was held after the establishment of new municipalities.

The same date is also celebrated as the Day of the Battle of Karuše, one of the key anti-tank battles for the defense of this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Mayor of Doboj Jug, Mirnes Tukić, thanked the Government of ZDK for its partnership and support, emphasizing that it is the largest investor in almost all development projects in this municipality.



Thanks to such support, he emphasized, Doboj Jug Municipality has built quality infrastructure, and its developed economy holds an important place in the economy of ZDK.

Prime Minister Pivić reiterated that the Government is committed to balanced development and fair distribution of resources and is ready to participate in development projects in all local self-government units so that all citizens of the canton have equally good living and working conditions.

- Doboj Jug is an example of how to act at the micro-level without quarrels and with everyone dedicated to one goal - common well-being and development. I am especially pleased to see the projects that have been realized in this municipality.

And we will not stop there. The Government is committed to supporting the development of this municipality, and we plan to soon approve funds for the construction of a sports hall, which will serve our students and all citizens - said Pivić.

He congratulated all participants of the spectacular Battle of Karuše on their bravery and contribution to the defense of BiH, saying that this battle deserves to be studied at military academies worldwide.

As a token of gratitude for the partnership and support, Mayor Tukić presented certificates of appreciation to Prime Minister Pivić and the ministers, as well as to the Director of the Cantonal Civil Protection Administration, Džavid Aličić.

The delegation of the Government of ZDK laid flowers and paid tribute to the martyrs and fallen soldiers of Doboj Jug Municipality.
