Delegation of the Government and Assembly of ZDC attended the celebration of the Day of the 1st Glorious Olovo Mountain Brigade of the ARBiH

(Patria) - A delegation of the Government and Assembly of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, led by
Prime Minister Nezir Pivić and Speaker Ćazim Huskić, which also included
Minister for Veterans' Affairs Adnan Sirovica, participated in the
celebration of the Day of the 1st Glorious Olovo Mountain Brigade of the Army of the Republic
of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The delegation, together with other delegations, laid flowers and paid
tribute at the memorial to martyrs and fallen soldiers "Senahid Bolić
Bolo" in Olovo, and then attended a ceremonial session of the Olovo Municipal
Council.



- This is not just a date on the calendar – this is a day when we remember
the bravest among us. Those who unhesitatingly stood in defense of the
homeland, freedom, and dignity of every person. Many of them gave
the most valuable thing they had – their lives. It is our duty not to
forget them, to preserve the memory of them and the values for which they fought -
said Prime Minister Pivić in his address.

He emphasized that the defenders of Olovo showed how love for the homeland
is proven by deeds, not words, and that "their determination and unity
remain a lasting inspiration to all of us – even today, when we build peace, justice,
and a better future for all citizens of our canton and all of Bosnia and
Herzegovina."

Minister for Veterans' Affairs Adnan Sirovica said that this ministry
supports the marking of significant dates from the defensive-liberation
war, and May 27, 1993, the day when the 1st Glorious Olovo Mountain
Brigade was founded, holds special significance for the defense of the Olovo region.

- That is why it is our duty and obligation, without any calculations, to
care day and night for the families of martyrs and fallen soldiers, war military
veterans, and all members of the veteran population through various forms
of protection and improvement of rights, support, and assistance, and in this way repay
for everything we have today thanks to them - said Minister
Sirovica.

As part of the ceremony held in the hall of the Center for Culture, Sports, and
Information, students from Olovo schools performed a rich cultural and artistic
program.
