Delegation of the Government and Assembly of ZDK visited Municipality of Žepče: An example of coexistence and dedication to creating better living conditions

(Patria) - A delegation of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton, led by Prime Minister Nezir Pivić and Assembly Speaker Ćazim Huskić, visited the
Municipality of Žepče where they discussed cooperation between the two levels of government and joint projects with the mayor
Mate Zovko and the Speaker of the Municipal Council Edin Šišić.



Over the past few decades, the Municipality of Žepče has transformed from an extremely underdeveloped area into one of the most developed municipalities in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with quality communal infrastructure, business zones, and a favorable environment for attracting investments.

Mayor Zovko and Speaker Šišić particularly emphasized that the security situation in this municipality is at an extremely high level and that Žepče is an example of coexistence of three peoples and joint dedication to creating better living and business conditions. They also highlighted good cooperation with all levels of government, especially with the Zenica-Doboj Canton, and the municipality also participates in cross-border cooperation projects.

Prime Minister Pivić stated that the Government he leads is committed to the balanced development of all municipalities and the fair distribution of resources, and that the Municipality of Žepče has a quality and reliable partner.

- We recently opened a new family medicine clinic in the local community of Željezno Polje, and last autumn we opened a new elementary school building, which is a good example of joint work and investment.



I am pleased that Žepče is building and developing, which also speaks to the agility of the municipal authorities. We support all projects that will contribute to restoring mutual trust and coexistence, improving the business environment, and thus contribute to young people staying in Bosnia and Herzegovina - said Prime Minister Pivić.

He added that the goal of these visits is to assess the needs and priorities of local self-government units, among which Mayor Zovko particularly highlighted the construction of a new Health Center building, a project worth over 10 million KM which is in the design phase, and the construction of a new seat for the Municipality of Žepče.

The delegation of the ZDK Government also attended the celebration of the Day of the Secondary Mixed School Žepče, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year. Accompanied by director Adil Gačić, they also visited workshops where students practice for a large number of vocations and professions aligned with the needs of the labor market.
