Delegation from Great Britain visited the Prime Minister of TK Irfan Halilagić

(Patria) - Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton Irfan Halilagić received a delegation from the British Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday. At a working meeting with the Director General for Europe at the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs Peter Wilson and the British Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina H.E. Julian Reilly, along with their associates, the Prime Minister, with words of welcome, presented the situation in Tuzla Canton, the principles of the Government of Tuzla Canton's work, pointed out the most significant projects realized in the past period, as well as projects that are in the implementation phase or planned for the near future.

“The government has continued this mandate on the same course we set during the last year of the previous four-year mandate, which is the principle of transparency and measurability, i.e., set measures, defined deadlines for execution, and reporting to the public on implemented measures. In addition, special attention has been paid to the fight against corruption, which is most clearly illustrated by the support for the Office for Combating Corruption and Quality Management, and the publication of the asset register of elected officials in our canton,” said Prime Minister Halilagić, emphasizing that unfortunately, some tragic and unfortunate events have disrupted the positive dynamics of the Government of Tuzla Canton's work.

In addition to the above, Prime Minister Halilagić presented the government's priorities for 2023, and highlighted the preparation of project documentation for the construction and reconstruction of infrastructure facilities such as the construction of the Campus, the renovation of the Government building, and the construction of police administration buildings and courts, while emphasizing the modernization of road infrastructure and better connectivity with Sarajevo as the capital, as well as with Orašje and Brčko, i.e., the European Union, as a focal point.

The guests from Britain expressed their satisfaction with today's presentation and discussion with the Prime Minister, and praised the planned efforts and vision of the Government of Tuzla Canton. Director General Wilson emphasized that it is very positive to see a young person in such a responsible position, with a sincere desire to improve the lives of all citizens of Tuzla Canton.
