Federal Minister of Labour and Social Policy Milan Mandilović received a mission from the World Bank working on the preparation and implementation of the socio-economic support, training and re-employment SSNESP project, the Ministry announced, as reported by the Patria news agency (NAP).
In a conversation with the mission chief and social protection expert Mirey Ovadiya, Minister Mandilović emphasised that the Federation expects numerous reforms and challenges, particularly the new Labour Law, which must be adopted and harmonised with European norms and regulations.
Mandilović thanked the World Bank for its support so far and expressed hope for even better and more successful future cooperation between the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the World Bank.
The new FBiH Government has a strong political will to tackle all societal problems and will, with the help of expertise and detailed analysis, try to find the best solutions.
The meeting highlighted the need for synchronised action by all competent institutions in the areas of social policy, education and healthcare, due to the adoption of new legal regulations in the fields of social protection, health insurance, social entrepreneurship, education and retraining of unemployed persons and their adaptation to the real needs of the labour market.
The World Bank gave full support to Minister Mandilović and the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy in their future work, in improving and adopting new legal regulations and overcoming the challenges ahead, NAP reports.
