EU Delegation: We fully respect the decisions of the Hague Tribunal

The EU Delegation in BiH announced, regarding the verdict in the "Prlić and others" case, that the verdict of the Appeals Chamber in the "Prlić and others" case before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) has concluded the case initiated in 2004, which dealt with tragic events.

- The pursuit of justice and the fight against impunity are fundamental principles. We sympathize with the survivors and those who have lost their loved ones. While we do not comment on individual verdicts, we fully respect the decisions of the ICTY and support its work. We strongly emphasize the need for full cooperation with the ICTY, as well as with its successor, the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals.

The European Union hopes that all countries in the region are determined and committed to working towards reconciliation, regional cooperation, and good neighborly relations. We expect all political leaders in the region to show respect for the victims by advocating for and respecting these commitments – stated the EU Delegation in BiH.
