(Patria) - Danish tennis player Holger Rune was defeated by Norwegian Casper Ruud with a score of 6:3, 3:6, 4:6 in the semi-finals of the ATP 500 tournament in Acapulco.
After her son's defeat, his mother Aneke received a threatening email, which she published on Instagram.
"You f***ing son of a b****. I'm waiting for you. I will find you and stab you in the neck, and then I will cut off your stupid head.
It will be all over the news, it will be a lesson for others. F***ing trash. I'm coming for you. You will die by a blunt knife", the email reads.
Aneke added: "If anyone knows this idiot, tell him that threatening someone's life is illegal."
Rune turned professional in 2020. So far, he has won four tournaments, with a total of 105 wins and 67 losses. He has earned over eight million US dollars from tournaments.
