Daniel Riđić new coach of RK Bosna Sarajevo

Following the mutual termination of cooperation with Adem Bašić, Daniel Riđić has been appointed as the new head of the professional staff of the Handball Club Bosna, it was announced by the club, reports Patria.

This will be the second term for the native of Zavidovići at the helm of the Sarajevo Students, after he was an assistant to Irfan Smajlagić from 2009 to 2011. During that period, Bosna achieved one of the greatest successes in BiH club sports, when it played in the round of 16 of the Champions League, and Riđić also won two BiH championship titles and a Cup title.
He then led Konjuh independently, with whom he was the BiH runner-up, which he repeated with Vogošća, with whom he also won the Cup of our country last season.

The new coach of Bosna will be assisted by former national team player of our country, Nermin Bašić.

Riđić expressed his satisfaction with his return to the club where he began his coaching career.

- Returning to the bench of our greatest club is a great challenge for me and brings me satisfaction. My vision aligns with the management's vision, and I believe we can achieve great things in the coming period. Only three matches remain until the end of the first part of the season, in which we will strive to win as many points as possible, in order to then prepare adequately for the second half of the season and try to achieve our goals.

The Management Board of RK Bosna has shown full confidence in the new professional staff, as confirmed by the president of the Sarajevo club, Mirza Alispahić.

- Considering our current goals, as well as the name of RK Bosna itself, we decided to engage a proven coach. The Management Board fully supported the presented ambitions, and Riđić and Bašić have been given maximum confidence in the effort to achieve the club's goals together - said Alispahić.
