Today meeting of BiH Presidency members and President of Turkey

(Patria) - President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will meet today with members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Cvijanović, Željko Komšić, and Denis Bećirović.

Incidentally, members of the BiH Presidency are participating in the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) from April 11 to 13.

Željko Komšić, in an interview with the Turkish Cumhuriyet, pointed out that not all problems in BiH have been resolved, emphasizing that although the Dayton Peace Agreement stopped the war, it did not resolve all problems in the country, nor did it eliminate policies aimed at its destruction.

He then stated that thanks to the strong presence of the international community, the situation was under control for years. However, he stressed that over time, as the power of the international community began to weaken, the problems not resolved by the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution began to re-emerge.

“The policies that attacked Bosnia and Herzegovina, that aimed to destroy it and erase it as an independent state, have never actually disappeared from the scene. Today's situation in which Bosnia and Herzegovina finds itself is precisely the result of that. Today's instability is a reflection of that reality. The person who initiated this instability is the president of the entity Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik. He initiated this process because of his court case. He was sentenced in the first instance to one year in prison and a six-year ban on political activity. Although he puts his case in the foreground, I claim that the real reasons are much deeper,” said Komšić.
