(Patria) - The final hours are counting down to the first match of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team against Canada at the World Cup. The match starts at 9 PM, and we are all hurriedly preparing for the beginning of the story that brought so much joy on that March 31st when we secured our place at the World Cup with a victory over Italy.
Not even distant Canada has prevented fans from being at the stadium in Toronto today. What this means for the Bosnian diaspora is best shown by the support the Dragons had in St. Louis during the friendly match against Panama.
Predictions are that the stadium in Toronto will look as if the Dragons are playing a home match. Just like at Bilino Polje or as it was at Koševo on May 29th.
Public viewings of the match have been organized throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, and today hearts beat faster. Today, from early morning, people are singing, working hours are shortened, today the mandatory outfit is the national team jersey and the colors of our flag.
And as we count down to the start of the match, our dear Dragons, good luck to you. And give us a reason for at least a little more joy...
