The doors of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has been closed for almost three years, will be ceremonially opened today by removing planks from the entrance doors, an act that will be performed by children from Sarajevo elementary schools, writes the BiH news agency Patria.
Before the museum's opening ceremony, a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed in the building of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH to support state-level institutions for the period 2016-2018. Representatives from several levels of government will sign the memorandum.
The opening ceremony of the museum will be attended by the US Ambassador Maureen Cormack, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić, and the Minister of Civil Affairs of BiH Adil Osmanović, who will lead the entry into the opened museum.
Numerous guests from public, political, and cultural life of BiH, as well as citizens, are expected to attend to jointly mark the beginning of a brighter future for the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
