(Patria) - The FIS World Alpine Ski Championships have opened in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Austria, where the best Bosnian-Herzegovinian skier Elvedina Muzaferija (25) will also race in the first event. After two official training sessions, the first speed event follows, which is the Super-G scheduled for February 6 at 11:30 AM.
In the women's alpine skiing competition at the World Championships in Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina will also be represented by Esma Alić, a member of the "Bjelašnica" Ski Club, Nikolina Dragoljević, a member of the "Jahorina" Ski Club, and Ina Likić, a member of the "Naš tim" Ski Club.
“I am looking forward to the first race and I will try to ski as best as I know and can. I hope for a good result, and the fact that I am representing Bosnia and Herzegovina at my fourth World Championships is a big deal. I am very proud of my results and of course I look forward to the arrival of the rest of the BH team where we will all cheer each other on. We hope that we will all collectively achieve good results, and you cheer for us and follow our races,” said Elvedina Muzaferija, a member of the "ZE-2010" Ski Club, from Saalbach.
Two days later, on February 8, Muzaferija will compete in the downhill race, followed by the alpine combined and giant slalom.
The women's Super-G race will be broadcast live on Eurosport TV.
