(Patria) - December 21st is celebrated as Miners' Day in our country.
Mines, which are the heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina's energy sector, require investment, and miners continue to seek their rights.
This day was initiated on December 21, 1920, when miners from several Bosnian and Herzegovinian mines went on a general strike due to imposed difficult working conditions.
Like few other holidays, this one in Bosnia and Herzegovina is felt by everyone or at least given due respect.
This is thanks to the miners themselves who preserve the dignity and tradition of this difficult and honorable profession.
Unfortunately, even today, mining is a "bread with seven crusts" job, working conditions are not at a desirable level, but it is a job that indirectly provides Bosnia and Herzegovina with energy stability and independence.
