White Armband Day: Marching Towards a Future Without Fascism and Nationalism

(Patria) - The Youth Initiative for Human Rights in BiH (YIHRBiH) is organizing the commemoration of the 27th anniversary of the crimes in Prijedor. YIHR activists will be distributing white armbands to citizens of Sarajevo and carrying banners with information about the crime in Prijedor. 

With this commemoration, the Youth Initiative for Human Rights in BiH – YIHR BiH will show that there are young people who care about confronting the past, and that they need to march towards a future without fascism, nationalism, and similar worldviews.

YIHRBiH believes it is important to raise awareness about the crimes that occurred during the past war and to point out to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina that confronting the past is an important factor for the success of the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. 

The commemoration begins in front of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, at 3:00 PM.
