Students in RS indoctrinated that criminals Karadžić and Mladić are heroes, Duraković calls on the BiH Prosecutor's Office to react

(Patria) - The Vice President of the RS entity, Ćamil Duraković, announced that today the curriculum for history in the 9th grade of primary schools in the RS was changed, introducing a new teaching topic "Republika srpska and the Defensive-Patriotic War".

"Within the new topic, which is highly questionable in itself, children will learn about Ratko Mladić and Radovan Karadžić - but not as war criminals, rather as war heroes.

Also, alongside the convicted war criminals Karadžić and Mladić, children will be taught about the causes and consequences of the 'Defensive-Patriotic War', but will skip over the genocide, ethnic cleansing, and the entire range of crimes against humanity committed by members of the RS Army, about whom, as heroes, ninth-grade students in RS primary schools will learn.

The same Republika srpska that is drowning in debt and where there are fewer and fewer children to be taught a history that no civilized state in the world has recognized - nor will ever recognize, as proven by the Resolution on the Srebrenica genocide.

I ask, very specifically, the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina - what are you doing and where are you while official institutions of the RS entity openly and publicly glorify war criminals through the curriculum?

I ask, very specifically, the individuals who wrote this curriculum, do you know that you are committing a criminal offense? I ask the official authorities of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will you allow war instigators to indoctrinate our children in primary schools?

Will you allow Ratko Mladić, convicted of genocide, to become an idol for future generations, as someone who liberated the Serbian people in Srebrenica and avenged the 'Turkish dahijas'? Will anyone in this state start doing the job they are paid for," Duraković stated.
