Will the Dragons be led by someone from the "others"?

The storm surrounding the selection of the new coach for the BiH national football team is not subsiding, and speculations continue, writes the Patria News Agency.

According to Patria's sources from the Football Association of BiH, no meeting has yet been arranged with the first favorite for this position, Vahid Halilhodžić, where both the Association officials and Halilhodžić himself would be more concrete. Halilhodžić, to be fair, has stated that "the chances of him taking over the BiH bench are slim."

Furthermore, as our source reveals, despite a large number of candidacies, after Vahid Halilhodžić, the closest to the BiH bench are Blaž Slišković, Mehmed Baždarević, Faruk Hadžibegić, and Amar Osim.

- I think the Executive Board will not agree to a foreigner coaching BiH. It is particularly interesting that some of the candidates listed above identify as "others," which could influence the final decision of the executive board members – says our source.

The lobbying is intense, as are the pressures on the leaders of the Football Association, and negotiations with other candidates have not even begun, as they are awaiting Vahid Halilhodžić's final answer.
