Will the Independent Board of the BiH PA fulfill Mektić's wish for Vilić's dismissal?

At the session of the Independent Board of the BiH PA scheduled for Monday at 1 PM, the request of the Minister of Security of BiH, Dragan Mektić, for the dismissal of the Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, Mirsad Vilić, will also be considered, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

As Patria has learned, there is no consensus within the Independent Board of the BiH PA for Vilić's dismissal, so according to our source, any dismissal will be "difficult to pass".

We remind you that Mektić's request for Vilić's dismissal reached the members of the Independent Board of the BiH PA at the last session held on August 18, 2015.

The submitted materials were not considered then because they were classified, but each member of the Independent Board was supposed to familiarize themselves with those materials.

Minister Mektić had previously announced that he would seek Mirsad Vilić's dismissal due to the events of July 11 at the Potočari Memorial Center when Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić was attacked. However, while Mektić is seeking Vilić's dismissal, the investigation into Potočari is stagnating.
